SICAP Youth Employment Programme modules vary from Programme to programme always incorporating new learning and requests from participants, to help the programme evolve. Participants will usually partake in 10 different modules over the course of the programme and on this occasion in YEP2, one of the modules was Horticulture.
YEP 2 which is the second programme this year has just finished up and the participants have shared with us some of the wonderful vegetables and herbs that they cultivated from seed from the beginning of the course.
From Lettuce to Parsley, basil mint and thyme each participant was successful in their endeavours and have plenty of produce to share with us today.
“It is amazing to see something grow from scratch that you have sown yourself, water it, take care of it and have something healthy, nutritious and homegrown to share with your family, I am so glad I learned how to do this, I find gardening very relaxing, and it is possible to grow many things in a small place”
There are plenty of new modules on the new YEP 3 Course starting at the end of July –
