Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) provides regularly updated information on road conditions, incidents and other traffic related information which is available on the TII Traffic Website . This information can be used to help road users to plan journeys safely.

Local authorities can provide details of the priority roads in your county to be salted in the event of ice or snow. Phone and email contact details for your local authorities are available on the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage website. A number of local authorities are now using free alert services to keep the public updated on disruptions in their area. The alerts can cover issues such as flooding, road closures, and water supply disruptions.
The Road Safety Authority provides information and advice on road safety during severe weather. Advice on driving in snow, on wet roads, flooded roads and in icy conditions, is provided in a number of short videos on the Severe Weather Advice area of their website.
