Today we are sharing some photos of maintenance work being carried out, voluntarily by Rural Social Scheme participants Pat McCloskey and Stanley Kane.
Both gentlemen have been involved with the upkeep and maintenance of graveyards in the Carbury Area for the last number of years.
However, since the Covid 19 pandemic they are working on alternative days to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of these graveyards is maintained. They are doing this on a voluntary basis as due to Covid19 Restrictions the Scheme is suspended.
This work is being done voluntarily and within the 2km radius from the participants homes, in line with guidelines.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Pat and Stanley for their commitment to their community. Rural Social Schemes and Tús Participant Schemes will be returning soon as part of the governments phased process, keep and eye here on our page for the latest updates
